The Environmental Futurists
The mission of the Environmental Futurists is to
educate the students, faculty, and local
community about environmental issues and
concerns; and to coordinate student
participation in actions toward the solution of
environmental problems.
The group uses a consensus-based decision
making process, and you can find information
explaining consensus at:
http://aia.mahost.org/dec_consensus.html
Throughout all our activities we will consider
and implement the principles of Environmental
Justice (http://www.ejrc.cau.edu/princej.html).
Environmental justice is defined as a movement
by the grassroots to realize solutions to our
environmental problems that ensure the right of
all people to live, work, play, and pray in safe,
healthy, and clean environments.
If you would like to get involved, or if you have
other environmentally focused campaigns in
mind, let us know! We're always willing to work
with new students.
